TT Bike Sim

News, Downloads and Info for Tourist Trophy 'The Real Riding Simulator'

Welcome to TTBikeSim.com

TTBikeSim is a fansite for Tourist Trophy, a motorbike racing sim from Polyphony Digital, the makers of the Gran Turismo series. TT is now on sale for the PS2 in Asia and the US. The game has been confirmed for UK/EU release and currently has a 26th of May release date.

High-res Tourist Trophy Video

A high-res version of the Tourist Trophy movie first seen on the US TT site has just been added to the Japanese Tourist Trophy site as well as 21 new screenshots.

If you don’t fancy going aaaalll the way over to the Japanese site then you can find all of new screenshots in our Tourist Trophy screenshots archive and you can download the new TT video from our Tourist Trophy movies page.

Thanks to Samberto from GTP for the head’s up.

Misc Updates

I’ve updated the Tourist Trophy overview page today with some of the info from the latest IGN preview. Also I am going to test some subtle ads for a while to see if they will help with the server costs at all. Don’t worry, this isn’t going to turn into pop-up central.

On a semi-related note, the bikers amongst you might be interested in my new site: Rate my Bike.

TT US Release Confirmed

The news a lot of people have been waiting for has finally been confirmed today: Tourist Trophy will be released in America. I’m not aware of any news on the European release yet but it is now surely almost certain. A new official US Tourist Trophy website has also been launched, with a flash movie showing presumably replay footage. Oh yes, and we have a vague release date too: Spring 2006.

Another Official Site Update

The official Tourist Trophy site has been updated again, this time with the play modes. There’s quite a lot of new information on the site and it’s still mainly in Japanese so exactly what’s there might remain a mystery a little longer.

A few observations from this update:

  • One of the captions for a screenshot is ‘RACE (4 bikes)’. Bearing in mind screenshots have never shown more than 4 bikes on screen at one time it seems fairly likely that will be the maximum number of AI opponents you can race against.
  • Quite a few bikes have ‘racing modify’ subtitles, so it looks as though both stock road bikes and race modified bikes will be available, ala Gran Turismo.
  • Some pictures of a slalom course are shown with a rider dodging some cones. This will probably be one of the license tests.

TT Release date?

Animalica from the GT Planet forums has spotted a couple of websites which are accepting pre-orders for the Japanese version of Tourist Trophy. Play Asia has Tourist Trophy down as a 26th of January release date and Lik Sang has an even more optimistic date of December 2005. These are almost certainly guesses on the part of the two sites but it does suggest that Tourist Trophy is really quite far into its development now.

Tourist Trophy has yet to be officially confirmed for US or European release but it seems extremely unlikely that the game will only be available in Asia. We’ll have more info as and when it becomes available.

Official Site Update

The official Tourist Trophy website has been updated with a list of the tracks and bikes that will feature in the game. There’s no new info available (perhaps there is if you can actually speak Japanese) but some of the bike profiles come with a couple of rendered images and are looking very realistic.

Welcome to TTBikeSim.com

This is the first and currently only english language Tourist Trophy site on the net, so be sure to bookmark us today as we’ll have all the latest news, screenshots and downloads for Polyphony’s new PS2 bike racing sim which looks set to be Gran Turismo on 2 wheels… that can’t be a bad thing.

At the moment the site’s fairly small but that will change as soon as more info becomes available. In the meantime checkout our movies and screenshots for a better idea what to expect from Tourist Trophy.

New Official Site Launched

Today Sony have released a teaser site for Tourist Trophy. Unfortunately the text won’t be of much interest unless you can speak fluent japanese but there are tonnes of new screenshots available. Just click ‘introduction’ then the > icon until you reach the P page.
